It couldn't be more Dutch, the tulip. This is what everyone thinks, but unfortunately it is not true. This oh so “Dutch” pride originally comes from Turkey. Sultans there wore a tulip on their turban. Do you feel it coming yet? The flower was thus given the name tulipan.
